Mark the Date!
It’s not too late to mark your calendars for May 12th! Come and join Monadnock Trout Unlimited as we celebrate our 6th year of conservation.
This year we’ll be running a live auction with some super prizes. First up, 8 nights lodging at the Neutra Family Ranch, 6 miles west of Dubois, Wyoming and about 70 miles east of Jackson Hole Airport, from September 2nd to September 10th 2011. The spacious house has two bedrooms and loft available for up to 6 people. The ranch is nestled between the Wind River Mountain range and the Absaroka Mountain range, and directly abuts the Shoshone National Forest. The ranch is situated next to some of the best fishing in the country. We’ll have some great photos from last year’s trip. A $2600 value, this promises to be a great deal for some lucky person. Go to
http://www.monadnocktu.org/Wyoming for more information and pictures.
We’ll have a special speaker this year - Outdoorsman Willem Lange. Willem Lange is an accomplished outdoorsperson, and an established storyteller. He can be seen on NHPTV in Wildlife Journal, heard on VPR as a commentator, and read in any of his five published books, including A Yankee Notebook, and Tales from the Edge of the Woods.
As usual we’ll have our great list of bucket raffle prizes, but this year

Also on the live auction will be a day’s guided float trip with our friends
at Harrison Anglers guide service. We had a presentation from them at our Banquet two years ago, and since then many of our members have enjoyed trips at all seasons of the year on the Deerfield River in Mass. If you haven’t had a chance to fish the Deerfield, you are in for a great surprise, and
the Harrisons know what they are doing. The trip is offered for the shoulder season, but according to the guides, that just means less competition and bigger fish!
