Upper CT River Camping

Can anyone recommend any places to camp in the upper CT river valley--somewhere in the vicinity of Lancaster/Groveton? Pittsburg is a bit too far for me this weekend. Just need a place to pitch a tent and sleep. Maidstone is great, but my poor car will not appreciate the 8 mile dirt road.
