Agreed, Steve's call.

Should we choose PI I would be willing to car pool/drive. I have a quad cab chevy 2500 diesel. Yes diesel is expensive but its still better than driving a gas pick up. I have room for 4 very comfortably and I could easily fit a 5th depending on how the two people riding in the back feel. Also it would be a courtesy to others in the car not to eat mexican the night before.

FYI
PI is def going to be nuts, no matter what time we get there. I am not opposed to Hampton harbor because there are rivers, odiorne, new castle, pierce island and other similar locations that I have a good understanding of.

Shouldn't be bad @ 5:30 A.M.

Seems to me the Clam dunkers don't like getting up early, they wait until around 9 - 10 A.M. to drift their Clams all over the place.

Speaking of that, do they realize that the 3/4 oz. weight they put on their Clam rig is NOT going to hold in current? Instead it instantly sweeps off to the shore and in the way of everyone else?

With gas prices the way they are and with the word on the street of the fish being here the Island is bound to be A to E this weekend. Maybe I'll run into you guys local. I'll be the dork casting a shooting head for the first time in 7 years.

I'm with Solid on this one. I can assure you that PI won't be bad at 5:30 AM, even on a Saturday. Come9:00, they'll be thick like stink but by then we'll be set up nice.

Plum Island it is! See you at 5:30 in the parking lot.

In terms of interest, it is for me ahead of most downstream fishing and spinning. And I've already opined that spinning is better than staying at home with the television set.

Steamtrain,

It's the parking lot at the very end of Northern Blvd. (The second left when you get on the island) I sent you a PM.
