Broodstock Salmon Report
Submitted - 2006-04-18
I fished for the broodstock salmon today with a new friend. Dick Secord and I fished the Pemi in Bristol. The water level was a little higher than I thought it would be but, it was still fishable. I saw two salmon jumping in the rips that were in the 3 LB range. I hooked two fish and landed one. I released a nice fish about 20 inches, no tag so my guess is a landlock. Dick fished his spey rod and caught a very nice brook trout, 15 inch with a nice thick girth. It was great to put a bend in the rod and share the day with a new friend. I offer some tips for fishing the salmon on my web site's newsletter page. Check it out and good luck on the water!
