White Mountaim Region Fishing Report
Submitted - 2006-04-28
At last some good news from the White Mountain Region. As of this past Wednesday, April, 26, the Saco received its first stocking.
Local ponds around the North Conway area have been fishing very well the past few days. With a lack of any important insect hatches a wide verity of fly patterns have working. My personal favorite has been the Black Ghost, however, Wooly Buggers and Prince nymphs seem to be producing well. Black Gnats, Quill Gordon and Black Quills have been the most productive dry flies.
Looks like we are in for a good weekend weather wise and the “Leaves are the size of a mouse’s ear” so if your not planning to be fishing your just wasting time.
