No problem my friend. Always good to hear from people excited about our sport. Look forward to seeing you at the shop some time.

Okay I'll talk to Milan, if the water is to high, I may just take a little drive and fish farther north on the river.I might also be in the store soon, I haven't gotten a chance to check it out because when I travel north I normally take RT93 through Franconia and up that way because it's a quicker drive to my camp. Anyways, thank you for the information i really appreciate it.

I have actually not fished that area proper. I know Milan has, so you might talk to him. I know the river has big caddis hatches so make sure you have those in size 14-18 dries nymphs and emergers. Flows may be high so do pack some streamers as well.

Sounds good, problem is i have no idea what the flow rates are now due to the rain we have been getting. Do you know if there are any spots to wade into? if so that would be really helpful. My family just purchased a camp in the Columbia/Colebrook area so i'm hoping to get really familiar with that stretch of the CT river.

just saw your post about catching big fish on dries! iv'e been out a few places and hooked into some good fish this year but nothing big enough to get my heart pumping. I'm friends with Milan, and we have fished a few times together this year but i have yet to hook into some large sized fish yet. I'll be up north in the Colebrook area for this fourth of july weekend, have any suggestions?

I have been out a few times since then with no luck at all. I've caught a few Bass but not much to show for. I'll probably try and take the fly rod somewhere this Saturday. I just don't know where yet.

Nate can you take a look at Flyfreak's brown? The video shows nice fins, but I feel the curved dorsal tells me it's a stockie.

We probably did talk about airflow lines. I am a fan. they seem to slip through the guides better than most lines and are usually highly durable. I have had a couple of outliers but overall the lines are fantastic. Even if you do have a problem they have a good return policy. I haven't found a line that has been as consistently good as airflow. Most lines last me about a season, maybe two, Airflo last more like three or four...which means that they last much longer for most fishermen.

Hey Nate hope the holidays were good to you. I was hoping to get your opinion on AirFlo fly lines. I thought we may have talked about them in the past or I read something you wrote about them, cant remember. If I'm totally off on this sorry and please just disregard this msg. I just don't know anyone who uses them and I'm interested in giving them a shot this season. Thanks, hope all is well. Btw: new website looks great.

You can call north country angler at (603) 356-6000. Tell them that you booked a full day on the Lower Andro with me for October sixteenth. You can tell them that I set the price at $225. Full days on the upper andro go for $325 but I'm not going to charge you that much since the lower andro is the only option anyways. They usually ask for a credit card number to get a deposit, I think fifty dollars is the going deposit. Give me a call a few days prior maybe thursday before, at 508-498-1304, and we can talk meeting time and place. Also if for whatever reason I think the fishing won't be worth your while, you will get your deposit back and we can re-schedule for a better time. I look forward to it.
