It may depend on which hatchery they are coming out of. I know the ones on the seacoast and when I fished Ossipee were all smaller than usual.

Stocked Brook Trout seem small

The stocked Brook Trout seem small this year. Someone told me that the hatchery had a problem with them and that is why they are on the small size. Has anyone heard anything about this ?

Striper report 2019

Heard there are some fish at Gloucster. Think it is still early especially with this cold rainy weather. Last year it was mid May before they got to NH/ Maine in any numbers. We will see.

Wife gave me a Xmas present of a trip to Pyramid Lake to fish for the big Cutthroats there. Something I have wanted to do for some time. Anyone been there?

After a good day of fishing at the Cocheeco - Watson Dam I laid my rod across the bed of my truck and drove out of the parking lot - yup it's gone. It is a green 9 ft. Winston with the reel still on...

We used to deer hunt that area some years ago and there was an old road but it was not driveable. I see that Fish and Game still lists the pond as remote - walk in. Never fished it.
