Default mountain rescues

I picked this link up from a hiking forum. Thought some of us might like to read it. We've hashed out this topic pretty good this winter. It appears that the frequency of rescues lately has caught the attention of the public. Maybe some good will come from all of this and F&G will get funded appropriately for the multiple tasks they perform.

I was thinking about Tuckermans yesterday. With all the snow this season it ought to be a zoo up there this spring.

Default Mountain rescues

Some of the "good" hikers who were prepared got caught off guard this winter, and got in trouble. Perhaps this was just one of those winters with ALOT of snow, no one knew who was going to need help in getting out. Unfortunately the F&G was caught in the middle of it all.......
