Default Green mountain brook trout?

Couldn't find a forum in Vermont so trying this. From Nebraska and will be staying in Manchester Center Vt, September 27th-Oct. 1st. Looking to catch a couple brook trout!! Don't have many of them in Nebraska. Any information would be great. Willing to hike to fish somewhere. Thanks again.

Unfortunately this site is dead. The days of forums being the slightest bit relevant have been done away due to Facebook. I would see if you can find a group on FB that might be able to help you.
Be careful hiring a guide in VT. They are not required to obtain a license. Get some references and go from there. Good luck and hope you have a great adventure.

Brook trout will never bring you to an ugly place. By far my favorite fish on this rock.

Well the Battenkill runs right through town - wild Brookies and hard to catch large wild browns. I have never fished it but access is supposed to be good. Check out the Orvis report.

This is probably self-evident, but Orvis HQ is in Manchester. You could ask there. If you go to the store, be sure to stop in at the outlet (across the parking lot).
